Matt comes from Glenwood, IA. However after being deployed for a year-long vacation in Afghanistan with the National Guard, he came to Omaha and has considered it home ever since. He started with Blue in 2007 while working on his masters degree. Upon graduating, he just couldn’t leave us.
Matt’s favorite roll at Blue is the Spanish Fly. He claims the secret is in the finishing touches. The cilantro and jalapeño offer a fresh kick to the tongue.
In his spare time Matt hangs with his wife and four kids, who make every day an adventure. He loves taking on new projects around the house, especially if it involves decorating his Dallas Cowboys-themed bar in the basement. Speaking of football, you’ll only catch Matt watching the tube on Saturdays and Sundays in the fall.
